Check with seller HR Benefits & Compliance Administrator

We are seeking a detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and process-driven HR Benefits & Compliance Administrator to oversee the critical administrative functions of our event workforce. In this role, you will be the guardian of organizational standards, ensuring that all temporary and seasonal staff receive accurate benefit information while remaining in strict compliance with labor laws and internal policies. If you possess a high aptitude for policy interpretation, a commitment to data accuracy, and a desire to support the well-being of our event teams, this is a vital role that ensures our operations remain legally sound and ethically responsible.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration: Manage the end-to-end administration of benefits for eligible event staff, including enrollment, coverage verification, and answering inquiries regarding plan options.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all HR processes, including hiring, leave management, and termination, comply with federal, state, and local labor regulations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing employment laws.
Audit & Reporting: Conduct regular audits of personnel files, payroll records, and benefits documentation to identify and rectify discrepancies, preparing reports for internal reviews and external audits.
Policy Implementation: Translate organizational policies into clear, accessible guidelines for event staff and supervisors, ensuring consistent application across all event sites.
Documentation Management: Maintain rigorous digital and physical filing systems for employee records, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive health, financial, and identification data.
Training & Education: Develop and conduct training sessions for event managers on compliance-related topics, such as workplace safety, anti-harassment, and wage-and-hour laws.
Inquiry & Conflict Resolution: Serve as the expert point of contact for complex compliance or benefits questions, providing accurate information and resolving issues with professional diplomacy.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; SHRM-CP or PHR certification is highly preferred.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in HR administration, specifically focused on benefits management and labor compliance, preferably in high-turnover or event-based industries.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, Gusto).
Strong aptitude for spreadsheet management (Excel/Google Sheets) and complex data reporting.
Deep understanding of ACA, FMLA, FLSA, and state-specific employment statutes.
