Check with seller Policy & Employee Relations Specialist
- Location: Hai Phong City, vietnam
We are seeking a fair, authoritative, and communication-driven Policy & Employee Relations Specialist to oversee the standards of conduct for our temporary and seasonal event teams. In this role, you will be the primary steward of our workplace culture, responsible for developing clear event policies, mediating disputes, and ensuring that every team member understands their rights and responsibilities. If you possess a deep understanding of employment law, conflict resolution, and the ability to maintain a professional, empathetic environment in the high-pressure world of event operations, this is a critical role that ensures our organization operates with integrity and respect.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Development & Communication: Draft, update, and disseminate clear, accessible policies (e.g., Code of Conduct, Safety Protocols, Anti-Harassment) tailored to the unique requirements of temporary event staff.
Employee Relations Management: Serve as the first point of contact for staff concerns, facilitating impartial investigations into workplace issues, conflicts, or complaints, and ensuring swift, fair resolution.
Disciplinary Oversight: Advise department heads and event supervisors on performance management, corrective actions, and documentation, ensuring all disciplinary processes are consistent, documented, and legally sound.
Conflict Resolution: Act as a neutral mediator during tense situations, de-escalating disputes between staff, volunteers, or vendors to maintain a productive and professional working environment.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all HR practices align with federal, state, and local labor laws, particularly concerning wage-and-hour regulations, safety, and discrimination in the workplace.
Training & Cultural Advocacy: Design and deliver training sessions on behavioral expectations, professional communication, and inclusion to foster a positive, high-performing team culture.
Data & Reporting: Maintain secure records of employee relations cases, disciplinary actions, and compliance reports to track trends and advise leadership on potential risk areas.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field; SHRM-CP, PHR, or a mediation certification is highly preferred.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in employee relations, labor relations, or as an HR Generalist with a strong focus on policy and conflict resolution, ideally in events or hospitality.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in HRIS platforms and case management software for documenting employee relations issues.
Strong knowledge of federal/state employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.).
Aptitude for writing clear, concise policy documentation and professional investigative reports.
Personal Attributes:
Impartiality & Fairness: Ability to remain objective and neutral, even under pressure or when faced with highly charged situations.
High Emotional Intelligence: Exceptional empathy and communication skills, allowing for the de-escalation of conflict and the fostering of trust.
Decisiveness: Ability to make difficult, legally compliant decisions in fast-paced event environments where time is a critical factor.
Professional Integrity: Unwavering commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and the fair treatment of all personnel.
