We are seeking a tech-savvy, highly communicative, and self-motivated Virtual Volunteer Coordinator to manage our remote engagement initiatives. In this role, you will recruit, onboard, and support a distributed team of volunteers participating in our events through digital channels. If you possess strong project management skills, a passion for remote collaboration, and the ability to foster team spirit through virtual platforms, this is an outstanding opportunity to scale our impact by leveraging a global volunteer base.
Key Responsibilities
Virtual Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead digital outreach campaigns to recruit remote volunteers, managing application processes, background checks, and virtual orientation sessions.
Remote Task Management: Define, assign, and track volunteer tasks (such as social media moderation, data entry, virtual event support, or research) using project management tools to ensure high-quality output.
Digital Engagement: Cultivate a vibrant virtual community through regular updates, video check-ins, and Slack/Teams channels to maintain volunteer morale and connection to the organization’s mission.
Communication Hub: Serve as the primary point of contact for remote volunteers, providing clear instructions, documentation, and technical support to ensure they feel prepared and valued.
Performance Monitoring: Track volunteer hours, contributions, and engagement levels; prepare analytics reports for management to evaluate the ROI of virtual programs.
Quality Assurance: Review and approve work completed by remote volunteers to ensure brand consistency, accuracy, and adherence to organizational guidelines.
Conflict & Issue Resolution: Proactively address challenges such as communication gaps, technical difficulties, or scheduling conflicts within the remote team to keep projects on track.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Human Resources, or related field; experience with non-profit volunteer management is a plus.
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in remote team leadership, virtual volunteer coordination, or digital project management.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in digital collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Discord).
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Notion, or Monday.com).
Strong aptitude for cloud-based document management and collaborative platforms (Google Workspace, Dropbox).
